JUST DO IT!

After his adventure in a forest, Charles ran in dehydrated. He was provided with a solution well packaged in a glass jar, which he needed to take as fast as he could to stay alive. He then said to his friends, “if I take this solution, I will be fine. I can see it will work and I will take it”. He curled up on the couch and kept saying that he would take the solution, as he knew that was the only way forward, if he wanted to stay alive.

Is knowledge really power? Yes, knowledge is power. No, knowledge may not be power. If you ever experienced the depths of knowledge, you would be armed with the conviction that knowledge is power. If you however have nothing to show for all you know, you would be certain that knowledge is not power. This is interesting!

A deep communion with knowledge in its full blown state turns the mind on, and brings it in contact with the potential to act, which engulfs the mind with an assurance of its capacity to produce results. However, if the potential to act is not employed, knowledge becomes powerless.

Knowledge in the human mind is simply like potential energy. Potential energy is described as energy stored in an object. This energy has the potential to do work. When the potential to do work is highlighted, it is meant to be converted to kinetic energy. Wikipedia defines kinetic energy as “…energy which a body possesses due to its motion. It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity”. Simply put, it is reasonable to convert potential energy to kinetic energy.

In order to experience the power embedded in knowledge, it is best to convert potential knowledge to kinetic knowledge. What you know no longer counts if you do not put it to use.

Remember Charles? He died a few hours after as he refused to take the solution. He knew what he was meant to do to stay alive but refused to do it.

What comes to your mind when you spot Nike Incorporated’s brand represented anywhere? For me, it’s the highly recognized trademark of "Just Do It". Knowledge is power when it is put to use. Knowledge is not power when it remains dormant.

It is not what you know that counts but what you do with what you know.
